About Adriana
Adriana grew up in Cali, Colombia, in a city known for its salsa and its stubbornness, and she absorbed both.
Her uncle was a photographer and she spent her teenage years following him to weddings, street festivals, and quinceañeras, carrying equipment and watching how he moved through spaces. She bought her first camera at nineteen with money she'd saved for something else, studied visual arts in Bogotá, and has been traveling with her camera ever since. She photographs places in a way that catches the light at the end of the day or the overlooked edge of something familiar — she's less interested in landmarks than in the moment just before or just after the landmark.
